Hello to you :-)
Hi people, I've talked with strat and he told me about the viper guild :) I was quite touched that the proto-guild UncleDave and myself have fiounded years ago was continued an is prospering  I could supply some background information from the old days in vendetta alpha, about the situation which lead to the vipers being formed and why UncleDave (one of the most notorious pirates then) was the co-founder :-) Regards, Mark (Commander Jameson) |

Re: Hello to you :-)
Hey, Jameson! Glad to see you made your way to the website. The history is on our wiki. http://www.viperguild.com/wiki/index.php5?title=Guild_History We'd love if you could offer any additional information. The early story of the guild before beta is really vague. I hope I at least got it somewhat right. I know some stuff is missing from people I've ran into recently like "7th Blade", or whatever his VPR alt was named. I haven't had a chance to add him yet. |

Re: Hello to you :-)
Yup. basically you got it right :) I'd be glad to to supply a personal view about the good/bad old times, but I'm not so sure if it would be appropiate to write it into the main history? Shall I create a new article (which you could link from the history) or do you have any other suggestions? |

Re: Hello to you :-)
Well the wiki is open to editing by anyone, but you can just post your thoughts and memories here in this thread and I can write them in if you'd like. Or you can certainly write a new page on the wiki if you think it will be different enough in tone that it warrants its own page. |

Alright, did a short essay: http://www.viperguild.com/wiki/index.php5?title=Guild_History/Jameson Feel free to use it/link to it - or correct it (I'm not a native speaker) :) |

Wow! Awesome! I like it, and I like that it's in its own article. I'll definitely link it. Thank you, Jameson! |

Re: Hello to you :-)
You're welcome :) I may add some more details later if some memories should come up :-) Oh, I've found one of the first drafts of the original viper website on my hard disk - do you want it? |

Re: Hello to you :-)
OK, I could give you a tarball (or a zip, whatever you prefer). It's about 120k, and was one of the first drafts - plus it's not complete (being a draft). Unfortunatley, I haven't got the version after that (IIRC I used a CMS after that version). How do I get the tarball/zipfile to you? |

Re: Hello to you :-)
You can email it to me or put it right up on the IMS. You can host zip files on the IMS. http://viperguild.com/forimages/index.php |

Re: Hello to you :-)
Very cool, Jameson! Maybe I can talk Duncan into hosting it on this site as an easter egg or something. Heh. |
