Hey Azumi :w00t: I haven't left VO. At least not yet. However, I have withdrawn myself and other characters from gameplay. I am maintaining my account and I have every intention of returning to active play once the game has been fixed. But for now, I'm just a forum troll. :P (hint: all the more reason for VPR to grant me full access) Suffice it to say, that I am fed up with the dev's inability to comprehend what they are being told or suggested. Below is what I posted to the CLM council forum. I will leave it at that because my intent is not to publicly deride the dev's or the game as a whole. I think they've build a potentially great game. However, I have a serious problem with their priorities and lack of planning. I have decided to withdraw my characters from the game, in protest of the dev's failure to make and maintain the playability of VO. I will be maintaining my account with the intent of returning to the game when it becomes playable for me again. I am sorry to do this to you Mystic, but the only thing left that is fun is pvp. The rest is a joke. Please do as you see fit with the council and lieutenant status of my character. _________________ Hoist the Jolly Roger Maties! I see traders dead ahead... |

Gee, looks like there actually is one thing we agree on. Except you forgot the part about how Incarnate lacks the balls to actually dish out disciplinary action when it is absolutely fucking necessary. For several years now, he has refused to deal with a problem within his own ranks -- namely that of Obsidian, who can get away with anything she wants at any time simply because she's Ray's wife. Any other Guide that did what she has done would have been out on their ass on a moment's notice. She's been abusing her powers for years and still, has anything been done? No. I only still play VO for one thing, and that is border conflict stuff (sorry guys, but at least I can support myself financially doing border stuff, and unless there are rats right there when I log in I'm not usually in the mood to wander around looking for them). Everything else has been ruined by either Incarnate's shitty priorities or features that were broken on release (like the economy), or by his flat-out refusal to properly deal with disciplinary issues. The latter has been a problem for a long time, and it's pretty clear that this is the case when you look at how long assholes like Lecter or tumble have been around despite everything they've done that violated the rules of the game. As an interesting side note -- fleet stuff is the only thing, aside from PVP, that I haven't really tried in EVE. Odd that it is the only thing remaining that's even remotely interesting in VO. I'd be willing to put a good amount of money (by the standards of the new economy anyway) that I'll be doing that in EVE before anything else gets fixed here in VO. The devs don't delete accounts, Retractile. If you're not going to play the game you might as well save yourself the $20 per month or so you're spending on your two accounts. |

Indeed, it is a shame to see you go. Who will ignore me in-game now? :p they've been good fights (the ones where you moved, that is). hopefully there will be repeat performances in the future. |

LOL Thanks Strat, and I hope so. The first two days were hell, because not playing VO left a 'huge' vacuum. Since then, I've been playing Nexuis and catching up on all the reading I've left unfinished. /me typically reads 3 or 4 books at a time MDuncan, I know the dev's get flak from about every corner. I love the game and enjoy everyone that plays. Well, except for the newb's that are too arrogant to do the tutorials. Which is why I continue to pay for my account(s). Sembei! At last we've found our common ground! :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: Though I have no idea how the guide has been 'abusing' their powers, which is probably why I didn't mention it as a reason. OOC: I understand and follow you completely but chooses to do otherwise. One aspect of the game that you can still affect is RP as this is mainly player driven (okay, completely player driven...). And that you can do no matter how crappy the trade/mining/faction/insert own beef here may be. The killer for me is the ones that do not RP and tried to make my life difficult when I do... Now, back in character: Damn you Retractile! Seems like I will be the only real pirate for a bit :laugh: As long as you stay on this, my new main forum, I guess it will have to do. Sembei, just tell me if you need a chaperone for that date >:) I'll ignore you Atice. This erupted due to the frustrations of my trade character. You might know him. Lets just say, I am seriously pissed at the dev's. Anyway, in the week I haven't been playing, I've discovered life again. Finally finishing the books I started reading a year ago and stuff. If/when I do come back, it will be on a reduced level. No more 40 hr + VO weeks for me. CLM was always about the fun. However, what I did in my other guild made the game meaningful. Which is why the outrage. :( * Retractile really has no idea how much time he typically spent in game on a weekly basis, but it was a lot. :whistle: _________________ Hoist the Jolly Roger Maties! Sembei, I was not going to actually do anything apart from watch the catastrophe unfold before my eyes.
