SMITTENS
Um, Smittens went el-nutso tonight, sorry about all that. Ah, I couldn't expel him myself but I'd like to say that he doesn't speak for the others in [IA]. Well, as far as I know, I HAVE been out of the loop for a while... Anyway, we'll have the situation resolved soon™. |

Thanks LeberMac and jhdigital for your prompt action. Indeed he went VERY "el nutso". Thanks for acting. you guys are a nice group of people [IA]. Glad this worked out. I wonder what he thought when he did what he did. I saw his post on the VO forum, but he can not be trusted anymore. Is it true that his account expires and he is leaving the game? Just wondering. M. Smittens and I hatched up a little RP that was supposed to be harmless on Sunday night. It involved him and I becoming enemies (just in RP) somehow, so I thought I would play up the "inviting [BLAK] members" as an easy introduction to hostilities between us. Additionally, Smittens was going to interrupt a duel that I would begin while in B-8, and we would get into a public shouting match with witnesses. Everything seemed to be going along fine... ... until it got out of hand since my duel opponent that Smit killed was a Viper (Nerde). No one was supposed to die. ESPECIALLY more than once. I played along with Smit, purposefully deceiving not only the Vipers in the area but also my own guildmates Holdan and jdigital, who were online at the time. I have no idea how many Vipers smittens killed, I guess 4 or 5, but from your reactions it seemed to be more. I was too busy running interference by misdirecting jdigital and Holdan, and was not paying 100% attention to the results of the Smitens vs. [VPR] conflict. I assure you that the intent of this (in retrospect, STUPID) RP was not to get anyone killed. So in a way, this *IS* my fault, for I kept silent until it became clear that Smit's actions hurt [IA] far more than any psuedo-rivalry between him and I could enrich the universe of VO and add intrigue to the game. If you all want someone to blame, make sure you send it my way. It's not something that should impact the [IA] guys since no one there knew what was going on, and we could do nothing to stop it anyway. It really seemed like an innocent little RP until the killing got out of hand. Wasn't supposed to really adversely affect smittens or [IA] in any way. But, It did. So. Hrm. It won't happen again for sure. I deliberately kept quiet about things for too long and purposefully deceived several Vipers whom I implicitly trust, and who until reading this may have trusted me at the same level. Trust is difficult to earn, and easily lost. |

Thanks for your statement Lebermac. All is fine between our guilds. I understand what happened and accept your explanation. I indeed had trusted Smittens as much as you, jdigital, kernel.panic and a few others. He is gone from that list now. Thanks for coming forward with the story, we appreciate that. LOL Hoax yeah that was a real ass-blaster. I was bewildered there for a bit, and kept going with the RP because I couldn't figure out if Smit was still doing it or not. Chaos. So, I'm temp LT, and I invited Smittens back in-guild as a mere member. Basically so I could /expel him and reinvite him a few times. Hehe. Love it. Holdan will probably be LT in my place soon, since I really don't want the spot. Holdan will /expel and re-/invite 'ol Smit probably 100 times as payback for all the times Smit has done it to him. Paybacks are indeed a BITCH. |
