Hey Vipers

I started playin VO 2 weeks ago and have a pretty high level of activity.
I fully agree with the charta of your guild and want to join the battle against pirate scum :D

My current stats are: 4/5/4/3/2 fast increasing of course :P

Ok, Ive seen in the other topics that license levels have to be above 4 minimum. Maybe that's why noone responds?
I'll do so an report back then :)

Sincerely,
MrP00

We'll certainly consider you. Keep working on that, and try to find us in game.

Hey MrP00 (is it zero's or oh's?),

You application is in for recruit status. We'll seek you out in-game too, but look for us and buddy up and participate in patrols or any guild activities so we can get to know you.

P.S. "charta"... Is that a Boston accent that I detect? :)

Welcome MrP00,

yes, leveling up above 4 makes you useful, also since the ships then are mostly unlocked and you can start flying the better ones to be competetive in a fight. What is your nation?

Dear Vipers
Today I got the possibility to join a guild immediately. I chose to do so to be able to get some experience with the "guild life", pvp and also to level up my char.
If I am allowed to do so, I would be glad to be able to reapply later on.

Sincerely,
MrP00

Dear Vipers,
I think it is definately time to give the reapplication a try.
ATM I am a Council Member in the CDC-Guild. Since my work and studies allow me more spare time these days I definately wanna spend it in VO. ;)
Thing is that the CDC members a all fine guys but I have hardly ever seen anyone of em online for ages.
That's why I look for something new so I hope to meet you guys ingame :)

Current stats: 6/8/7/8/4, oh an I think I left it out: UIT alignment.

Re: ... a place to stay, anyone...?
Welcome back, MrP00. :)

I will not lie to you, we are also currently having a lack of presence in game, but we do have a few members playing on a daily basis. However, this is something we hope to fix soon and we are definitely looking for a few qualified individuals to join our ranks.

Your application has been re-opened. Look for us in-game, buddy up, fly some patrols with us. After a indefinite period of time, we will review your application for Recruit status.

Please let us know what times your are likely to be playing, to make easier for us to meet.

See ya soon,
mb

See this is what I look for, go on patrols and stuff. Gives me the portion of coop I still miss in the game :)
I am mostly online in the evenings - except for weekends, where hardly anything can keep me from playing VO. I live in the EU, so maybe it's not that easy to meet when most of you are in the US because of the time difference. But we'll surely find a way ;)
BTW, is there some sort of channel you maintain? Would make comm much easier.
Thanks for the warm welcome (back),
MrP.

We monitor channel 4357 for reports of piracy, and use it to report on our own sightings and patrol activity.

Glad to hear you are still interested. We'll be watching for you.

Welcome, MrP00. Recruit status has been approved. Please buddy up with any Viper members you see and join in for patrols and rat hunting.

Hello VPRs =)
I've been trying to find some of you ingame for the last couple of weeks. I only met Strat recently. Do you have like scheduled training times? I wanna take my recruit status serious and I'm pretty weak @ PvP (so please train me) ;)

Cheers,
MrP

I'll look for you in-game and try to log on as much as possible. We don't have any scheduled training as of now, but we can certainly do it. We'll have to talk to Lieutenant Nerde Verde about that. Otherwise, we'll do some combat training the next time I see you. Be patient and check in here on this forum once a week.

Hello VPRs
I've been playing quite alot the last month but haven't met any VPRs in the meantime. Does every VPR monitor #4357? I always try to contact you there.
Hope to see you soon online,
MrP.

Hmmm... We've been quite active these last few weeks. I always check to see if recruits are on every night, and I have only seen you on once (unfortunately I could not log on). We have been flying with Han Shick and aliasd very frequently the last few nights and weeks. What hours are you active?

It's gotta be bad coincidence that we haven't met. Everyone says the VPRs are quite active these days and so am I. :)
I normally play VO from 7pm to (?) CET. Can happen that I quickly jump in during afternoon. Maybe we can meet tonight?

Thanks for the quick reply,
MrP

Re: ... a place to stay, anyone...?
So did you not join another guild? Keep in mind at some point you need to leave them. Your recruitement application had been cancelled when you announed you joined CDC. If you want a new shot let us know. I will then initiate a new vote.

I am online from time to time, mostly late at night, sometimes I see Strat.
Hope to meet you at some point.

Re: ... a place to stay, anyone...?
When I reapplied back in february (since CDC was already nearly down then) my recruit status was apparently reaccepted (check posts from Feb 13). Isn't this valid any longer?

Thanks for your reply commander.

Sorry, that was my oversight. Your recruit status was actually approved. So you are on trial for unspecified length of time. Hope to see you ingame.

No problem. I can only really play after 11PM New York time (GMT -5) on weekdays. Weekends are more open. What is CET in relation to GMT?

Haha, that's probably why we never meet :)
CET is GMT+1 so 11PM for you would be 5AM for me :)
I'm normally on till 2am (8PM EST)
Seems I gotta wait till the next weekend.

I am on about the same time as Strat is or later than 2am EST at times. Few people and lots of time zones.

Re: ... a place to stay, anyone...?
MrP00, just because we are not able to be in-game at the same times during the week, doesn't mean you can't still act as a recruit during those times. People are pirated at all times throughout the day. All of us being on for the same 3-hour period every day, doesn't do all the players who are being pirated during the rest of the day any good.

I suggest you continue to play during your available times during the week, even if no Vipers are on. Perform patrols, protect traders, and hunt pirates to the best of your ability. Check in here and post the results of those patrols every few days. Then we can meet up for 1 on 1 training on the weekends, but at least your weekday game time is not being wasted.

Vipers often have to fly alone. You can also train alone to an extent if that is what's required (and that seems to be the case here). We will meet up with you as often as we can, whenever we can. The rest of the time, act as if we were there watching you. You will earn a reputation and we will appreciate your work. The most important thing beyond that is for you to report here as often as possible to let the guild know how everything is going out there.

Re: ... a place to stay, anyone...?
Well said Strat. Thank you. Flying alone is one of the most difficult challenges for a VPR and a true test of spirit. It will make you stand out to fly any given evening as the only VPR and the repercutions can be great either good or bad. Everyone is watching a VPR, even new players. Recruit or not, your actions will always be magnified in any case.

Re: ... a place to stay, anyone...?
That's what I was about to suggest. I just do my patrols alone in the meantime and maybe on weekends we can team up.
The more different timezones the VPRs cover the more constant they're on.
What I'd really need tho is some PvP training. I've done only a few of these fights and could really need some help.

The first time I see you in-game, we'll do some combat drills. Hopefully, this weekend. Until then, keep up the good work and keep us informed of your progress.

MrP00, I will try to catch up with you in-game. I think you are good for MiT status. And maybe we can meet up for some practice PvP.

Commander, Council, I should have reported my joining earlier but forgot. Thank you anyways. I hope to see more VPRs around in the near future as we probably can fight pirates again side by side. (Was great fighting going on last sunday strat :) )
We are at war with Syn and CLM what more less makes VPR and PA close allies automatically. ;)
