Hello honorable Vipers Guild! I finally found my way here, knocking your doors. When you look on me, you see young UIT pilot with troubled face. All started when I was returning back from hive combat assignment, being Itani Military force member. Jumped into guarded sector, my HUD announced to me incoming message from some ship. Some pirate asked for money or the cargo. It was ridiculous, I was flying in common military Warthog fighter equipped with cargo bay barely sufficient for my own bag with pants and t-shirts... I was confused for a while, checking origin of that ship. It was our nation UIT ship, which I tried to protect just minutes ago... I didn't wait too long. I did reply neither money, nor cargo crates. My answer was returning fire. The pirate was stronger in the end and I returned to base in my escape pod ... my murderer was my blood not hive or Serco... I don't want to stay and just look any longer. I want to help, offering my closed fist, open palm, or even just listening ear.... Reading my ID card, my licenses are 6/6/5/3/3 which is more than probably not enough for my application. Although I felt the need to come. If you don't want my participation, just let the door closed. Astar Saran, UIT citizen ------- Generally speaking I love roleplay and RPG games in general. I am thinking of being PCC as well. My contribution to the game will be free time best effort life on waves of being busy and being creative -- thats the only way I can be involved, taking into an account my family and professional life. You probably noticed my non-native English. I do apologize for that, its getting slowly better, like Astars' licenses :) - Why do you want to become a Viper? I triend to explain it in text above :) - What is your nation? UIT - What are your license levels? 6/6/5/3/3 - What are your faction standings? UIT, Itani, TGP Admired, some with respect, Corvus with disliked, other Neutral. So I can dock where I wish. - How long have you been playing VO? Month or so. As said, I have waves, when I am available and when not. - What is your level of experience and proficiency in regards to PvP combat? Hmm, I think I am poor in it, ask Buanzo ... - How did you hear about us? Can't remember, from some wiki? - How often do you play, what times do you normally play, and what is your time zone? Playing mainly in the night, when my family sleeps. My timezone is CET (GMT+1). |

Good to see your application. Your levels should be good enough to buy respectable combat ships, especially if you combine them with appropriate faction standing. Your application is under review. For the moment, please try to get in touch with as many Vipers as you can in-game - we'll all be happy to fly with you. |

Thanks for a great app, Astar. Since your levels and faction standings seem to be good, I'd suggest hanging around Sedina B8 to try to work on your PvP combat skills. When we meet in-game, we can definitely do some combat training. I look forward to flying with you. |

Sending greetings to all Vipers! After one year of inactivity I am back playing VO. My desire join the famous VPR guild still remains. For that reason, I am bumping this thread. Now I have licences 8/8/7 ... so I am making progress. Hopefully. My combat is getting better, however, I am still dying mostly fighting in b8. Bumping the thread. Astar |

Great to see you back in-game, Astar. Try to fly with as many Vipers as you can so we can get to know you. Check into this forum often and post updates on your progress and daily activities. The Council will re-open the review of your application. I look forward to flying with you again. |

Hey, the last few days flying with you have been great. The skill at pvp will come. I didn't get a chance to show you how we escort other players yet but I'm sure the time will come soon. I am glad you put in your appllication. |

Hey, last couple of days have been really cool. I did already some kills so I am feeling my combat is improving slowly. Thanks to gods. The mine ride at I-8 was ... awesome! I haven't ever think that I can do 5000m/s in my Vult 3 with standard equipment ;-) |

Today, I wrote in my pink diary "Wow, I just killed \"Look ... no Hands\"." To be fair, he used bus guns, but he had Corvult, but I was flying in Vult 3. So my victory is not shining. To be honest it I had advantage on my side. I ended up with 45%. I also changed controls, now I don't use MouseLook, and I have turned /set doKeyRamp 0. Now i feel the ship much better, and my aiming improved a lot. I trained with Solra from PA a bit, and he gave me many useful advices. It was great. LNH used to be able to kill fairly experienced pilots with his bus guns. He's a little rusty now, but still plenty dangerous. Solra is probably a bit rusty too, but he's a top-tier combat pilot and the only person who could reliably beat me using gauss cannons. |

You've been granted recruit status, Astar. Continue flying with as many Vipers as you can and act as a Viper at all times. Feel free to tell people are an official Viper recruit. Welcome. |

I missed you in tonight's action. I was on later I guess. Don't mind Mistena. I remember when I got my first pvp badge and those were the days when there were pirates lurking everywhere. My kill to death ratio was way lopsided and it still felt good to get that badge. |

I was missing action in b8 yesterday when I was online, was very tired after hard workday and pissed off by some tough mission I failed. I logged off and took some sleep. Which is useful sometimes ;) I guess today its gonna be much better... -Astar |

MIstena, I am staring to love your comments. No, really, I am starting to enjoying them :) You are interesting personality, not easy to catch on first sight. I think I did this night well, I made some interesting and GFs, made an escort of Bukkwind, made some nice fights with you as well. I don't count ratio of success by ratio of PvP stats. Not yet. I am still learning. For example, I suck on group fights. I need to look on radar much more. I am used to look just infront of me, used to have one difficult target. I still have mental and then even physical problem with flares. I am even becoming angry when someone shoot on me a flare, as much I hate them :) -Astar |

Last night I was online just partially, to make some pews, but nothing particularly big. I went for some AAPs to UIT for myself back to Sedina L-2, where I live todays. Matthias Corvinus took an eye on me, as I was flying Moth from Corvus station (credits to him). I shot down some interesting names in pvp, like Star Buck and Tonemaster. I should not write those names next time maybe, it is not so appropriate. They can surely beat me tomorrow, while I was only lucky today. Unfortunately, I probably cannot be online this night. I am trying to figure out some network blackout at my customer and this is something I cannot do on local peak-times. -Astar |

My pink diary. Oh dear. I had quite bad start of the week, it seems that the whole year of 2011 will be titled as "Year of core network equipment failures". Nonetheless; I did today very long session in VO. I had great fights with Thespian, Conflict Diamond, Bukkwild and Ted X. And maybe many others. I enjoyed it very much. I am enjoying shot-strings slowly traversing the space to reach me in a second, evading them for getting even more, while wondering how it will end. -Astar |
