Application - Libelnon
In'Verse name: Libelnon (juuust to clarify.) Why do I want to join VPR?: For starters, I've always waged a bit of a war against pirates and trolls, never liked them much. That goes back to the early days of my trial when I got trolled in edras. But I'm also interested in helping hosting major events, like UWT. If I ever can. Licences: 11/10/8/5/5 I know my way around most aspects of the game (so is to the point of becoming a mentor) but I prefer combat in light fighters, especially Centurions. Faction standings: Itani: +1000 Serco: -789 (I've been a bit of a nationalist in the past, used to do a lot of border skirmish. Blew about 3mil c on it though) UIT +204 How long Have you been playing VO? About a month mid-July in the times of the second UWT. Can't quite remember the year now, and also the entirety of the promo campaigns '08 and '09. Signed up for 3 months presently. Proficiency in PvP? Average. I've self taught myself the art of the powerstrafe, but if I'm tired then my reflexes aren't as good and I really flop behind. Managed to beat yodaofborg in the past when he jumped me in a marauder before though, so perhaps my PvP skill isn't as bad as I'd thought. How did I hear about VPR? For starters, you took over the running of UWT, which was when it came to mind. But my (unofficial) mentor Sraer spoke highly of the VPRs, as well as warning me not to join Itan as it was 'falling apart'. Did some snooping and ran into Strat online. How often, and what times do you play? I'm in GMT, east anglia here. (my villiage is directly on the meridian) I'm usually on around school if I can be, (I'm a GCSE student at present) so 9pm -10pm most nights, 3pm onwards weekends if possible. And how often? Often as I can. I usually manage two nights minimum, and that's a real rarity. |

I thought you might be applying soon Libelnon, nice to see you here. All I think you need to work on is your Serco standing. VPR is a neutral guild, so we require a standing of at least neutral with all major nations. Thanks for the app anyway, I'm taking some time off from the game right now, but I hope to fly with you as soon as I return. |

I thought I'd post another update... PvP skills, slowly improving... so far, so good. My best ship seems to be the IBG, with dual neuts MKII and up. Finally managed to react fast enough to dodge missiles a good percentage of the time! Managed a few kills to be proud of in my opinion (for a rusty player with almost zero PvP skill until 3 weeks ago): TheBlackFlag, who was flying a TPG raptor yodaofborg, in a marauder mercenary. Gave Deatomiser, who was in a valkyrie X-1, a real run for his money (5 minutes with neither of us suffering damage) Not to brag or anything ^^ |

Ok, I know I haven't been on for a while, I've been too engrossed in a huge Sins of a Solar Empire game between me and two of my friends. And I know it's been going on for eternity... but with dad having banned me to 2 hours on PC a day, I might not be in-Verse for about a week or so. But 'til then... |

Heh. We'll see you when you get back. I've been a bit inactive too. Also, I think you play at odd times of the day compared to a lot of us. We'll make an effort to get in-game during the times when you're online once you start playing again. Keep us updated. |

I'm back now, not sure for how long - trying to divide my time between study and VO. But I'm back, that's what counts - let me wash off some rust and I'll be right with you all again ^^ |
