Application - Valkyr Anason
Well I have heard about the Vipers from time to time as I traveled around VO, and finally became interested when I started making regular trips through gray space and meeting pirates much more. - Why do you want to become a Viper? --- I would like to help traders (and others) from being robbed by pirates, and educate newbies. - What is your nation? --- UIT - What are your license levels? --- 9/7/7/8/3 - What are your faction standings? --- I am admired by UIT, respected by Itani, and Neutral with Serco. I am Respected by most other small factions. - How long have you been playing VO? --- Around a month. - What is your level of experience and proficiency in regards to PvP combat? --- I practice a little in B-8 and win about 1/3 of my fights. I usually fight PvP in a Rev C. - How did you hear about us? --- *Read above* - How often do you play, what times do you normally play, and what is your time zone? --- Well I play from 1-3 hours a day pretty much every day of the week, the times I play are not regular at all this summer, but during the school year I play in the range of 3PM to 6PM. My time zone is Eastern USA. Well hopefully someone can review my application and thanks! |

Hey there Valkry Anason. Nice application. If I recall correctly I have seen you in-game a few times. The council will review your application, but for now try to buddy up and fly with as many VPRs as possible. My activity has been lower than normal for the last few months because of work, but now we are back on our old shift so I'll have alot more time to play. Look forward to seeing you in-game! -Niut |

Thanks for reviewing the application! Well I did a couple patrols after everyone left, didn't see any pirate activity at all. Then practiced some PvP in B-8... won a couple fights! I also looked for an escort job but couldn't find one... maybe more luck tomorrow. Also nice flying with you Strat and Shlim. |

Found a bunch of pirates lurking around Odia and Sedina last night. Should I still report on 4357 even if no other Vipers are online at the moment? |

The primary purpose of location reports on 4357 is so that traders can avoid the pirates. |

Ran a patrol then fought TBF a little. Boring on VO today... hopefully I'll come on later. |

Pleasure flying with you today Shlim and Niut, sorry I had to leave so suddenly. I'm going away on vacation tomorrow for 4 days but I will make it on VO for 2 or 3 hours tomorrow and I'll be practicing PvP in B-8, thanks for suggestions with dodging flares and rockets Strat and Niut, I'lll be working on keeping distance control while dodging. Like I said I worked on PvP a lot today (I did one patrol) and I dropped the dual Gauss Cannons cause I found they weigh down my ship a lot and make it harder for me to dodge. I put on dual AAPs and did much better, but am still having trouble with dodging and doing distance control at the same time, but hopefully that will come with practice. See ya in 4 days! |

Dodging is over rated. Did a patrol n found Impavid and peytros, then was gunner for Shlim XD Sad that vacation is over... :( |

Yah Shlim, great fights today to. Nahin Lor and I are really equal we had a really long fight that had us each down to 7% and we flew around each other for about a minute before either one of us could land a hit. I got him with neut/aap but the explosion killed me XD. Still I am practicing PvP a lot. |

Nice flying with you all today, I've been trying to switch to a different ship because the Rev C is really expensive, so if anyone has any suggestions they would be most welcome :D. I am not good with non energy rockets/flares but I'm sure I could get better! |

Vulture III with AAP's or even cheaper, neut II's. Costs you 15k a pop. Alternatively, hog II with your favourite rig. Costs you around 12-21k a pop depending on weapons. _________________ Lady Serco shine her light upon you. |

When I'm in a loosing fight I tend to switch to a hog3 (would be a hog2 but my home is Sedina D-14). I usually arm it with a neut3 and a jackhammer. Or a Megaposi and a neut3 wich I might add is an EXCELLENT energy combination on a hog. It is quite possibly one of the most effective energy set-ups on a medium-heavy ship. Both of these set-ups are relativley cheap weighing in at around 18-30k total cost per ship. -Niut |
