- Why do you want to become a Viper? I want to protect civilians from being robbed, and educate n00bs about the dangers pirates can pose (especially to dispute misinformation from people like Peytros.) - What is your nation? I'm proud of my UIT affiliation. I would have liked to join a UIT nationalist guild, but unfortunately there isn't one. Someday I would like to start such a guild! - What are your license levels? 4/6/4/2/1 - What are your faction standings? I'm +901 with the UIT, and I'm neutral with Serco and Itani. - How long have you been playing VO? 9 days. - What is your level of experience and proficiency in regards to PvP combat? Well, I can do pretty well in a fair fight. I took Peytros down to 59% health in a 1-1 fight, when he didn't have any flares. - How did you hear about us? A member of Phoenix Alliance introduced me to M. Duncan, who introduced me to VPR. Note that I didn't realize M. Duncan was the commander at the time, I thought he was just a regular member. - How often do you play, what times do you normally play, and what is your time zone? I've been playing every day. Usually I get online at either 5 or 6 in the afternoon, and stay on until around 9 to 10. My timezone is EST. _________________ What do we need To take control? We can use The Rat Patrol! |

Good flying with you today, Shlimazel. Your application is being reviewed by the Council. Continue to fly with as many Vipers as you can and practice PvP combat. We'll do some real training eventually. |

Thank you! I will head over to B8 and get to work, prompto. edit Just wanted to post an update-I fought in b8 for a while, did a bit of botting, practiced my combat skills, won 3 duels out of 4 total duels, and raised my combat level to 5. Tomorrow I'll raise my light weapons. I also kept an eye on 4357, but I didn't see anyone in trouble. _________________ What do we need To take control? We can use The Rat Patrol! |

Thanks! Also, the band Naked Raygun wrote a song about the Rat Patrol (called Rat Patrol), that's what I was referencing. I'd post a link, but I can't find any good videos of it. I worked on my standings a bit, raised my Light weapons and Trade levels (now at 5/7/4/3/1) watched 4357, and reported yodaofborg's predations on 4357. I also rejected yodaofborg's offer to join a new guild he was forming (TW@, which rhymes with twat ;) ) in exchange for 1m and the right to leave as soon it was formed if I wanted to. He didn't realize I was applying to Viper when he made me the offer though, which ended up being pretty funny. Lastly I did some PVP in b-8 and won one battle (yay!) I did run into Niut, but I didn't really have a chance to fly with him, as he left not long after I logged on. Also, I understand that Viper is rarely online. Does this mean that I will frequently be on my own if I am accepted to Viper? _________________ What do we need To take control? We can use The Rat Patrol! |

And you as well! Well, I did fantastically today! I got my Xang Xi standing up to Respect, helped out several noobs, and (believe it or not) I killed Mr. The Dark a total of FOUR TIMES, successively, and I never went under 50% health. Apologies for not updating lately! I got Corvus and Ineubis up to Respect and have begun getting a handle on how the JackHogMk2 flies. I also killed TBF twice out of maybe six or seven fights the day before last, and yesterday I chased down cloaked after a lengthy pursuit through the Sedina system which ended in cloaked teaming up with another pirate (Quentin), faking me out, and Quentin killing me. I also had a final encounter with cloaked yesterday at the Sedina>Odia wormhole during cloaked's attack on an NPC convoy ended when I landed a few jackhammer hits on cloaked and forced his retreat. I wasn't able to pursue, but I escorted the NPC's to the corvus station in Sedina. Also, it has been good to see you Vipers ingame! _________________ What do we need To take control? Sounds like you are doing well shlimazel. I was around for a few hours last night, and I should be around tonight for a while also. After that it is 2 nightshifts than 4 days off in wich I should be playing a few hours every day. Keep up the good work. -Niut |

[EDIT] Well, today was productive! I ran a patrol with Valkyr Anason, did one of my own, blew FusionBurn and TheBlackFlag out of space once each, harassed pirates wherever I found them, reprogrammed Ardenus to be a seagull (thus saving many from his potential depredations) did some training with Niut, and posted my progress report. _________________ What do we need To take control?
