Application
- Why do you want to become a Viper? - I have read the charter and believe in it.. as well as many of your members ive seen in game and enjoy how they conduct themselves - What is your nation? - UIT - What are your license levels? - 12/9/7/10/6 - What are your faction standings? almost POS with the 3 majors and atleast neut or higher with everyone else - How long have you been playing VO? - maybe 2 months. - What is your level of experience and proficiency in regards to PvP combat? - I would say my pvp needs some work. hehe i only seem to go against people who are much better than me .. though as sad as it is... i only have 2 pvp kills - How did you hear about us? - In game - How often do you play, what times do you normally play, and what is your time zone? - I seem to be on mostly late night atm EST. This is subject to change as i need to get back on a "normal" schedule and find another job. |

I think I remember seeing you around. Good levels, and nice job on your faction. Don't worry too much about your PvP skills. VPR gives out free PvP training to anyone who asks, so you better believe we train our own. A Council member or Lt should see this application soon. Until then, just sit tight :). Just a tip: combat loadouts tend to benefit from combining different weapons and ships from different factions. It's best to get your sub-faction standing up to at least respect with most of the subfactions so that you have access to more diversified weaponry. Check out Dascoma's "Advice for a Newb" in the "Viper Talk" thread (the thread is stickied) for my recommendations on which factions to raise first. Hope to see you in-game! |

Thanks for the help today getting my standing back up. For the record, we normally do more fun things than go around trading goods. That's just what happens when the baddies tempt me into killing them where I shouldn't. Good flying with you man. Keep it up (and get some sleep!). Also, nice job getting your standing from Orion, Axia and Ineubus up nearly overnight! Good show man. |

Thanks, and np alot of time in game im just looking for something to do. So when people log off and it gets slow i work on factions or combat levels. So if you see me on just let me know ill be glad to fly with any of you or do whatever. |

Heh. In a way, I train him every time I blow him to bits. He learns exaclty what not to do. He just seems to be a slow learner. |

No worries. It was that special training session that VPR held for new players. I'm out of town for the weekend and can't play. I'll be back on Tuesday night. We have several members who are active on a daily or weekly basis. I even saw a few other Vipers on today when I looked at the active players page... However, if you are looking for a very large guild, this is not it right now. We are working on getting more members and being more active, but there's nothing we can do about it immediately. That being said, VPR is the oldest guild in the game. We have always been around and will always be around. It's a "slow and steady wins the race" sort of thing. We choose quality over quantity. Many of us are very active here on the forum, so you can use the website as a resource and to keep in touch, even when we are not actually in-game. Basically, if you don't think we're active enough for you, then there is nothing we can do right now. It's something that you'll either have to accept or not. This guild is not for everybody and we would understand if you withdraw your application. Our goal is to be more active and it something that we are working very hard towards. Please post to let us know what you decide, either way. |

I'd rate the activity of VPR as roughly that of CLM. What matters is the quality of the activity and here I think that the snakes are on the right side. Naww I think I was just a lil frustrated yesterday. Its just that I am in game alot it seems and it seemed that I was always the only one on hehe. I talked to Ish in game and he explained it all to me. |

The "quality" of CLM has dropped in orders of magnitude over the last several days. Here we have Retractile claiming CLM aren't a bunch of traders and yet for some reason they just recruited someone who does nothing but trade and mine. Way to shoot yourself in the foot as usual. :laugh: |

Well I decided I wasnt haveing enough issues with my computer recently.. so I thought it would be a grand Idea to upgrade my XP media center for Vista.... well 3 formats and 18 hours later .. its installed... once I get all my lil crap installed ill be back in game... (i did back up the entire vendetta dir to a flash drive but its still doing a long update anyways.. so we'll see how much adjustments i have to do once im in. |

well atm my main problem is.. everytime i launch vendetta.. it repatches.. (the one time i tried to start it i got a physical mem dump) but so far ive been just running the the update.. watching it take 15 min to patch.. closeing it.. and watching it do it again.. so im re dloading it now and reinstalling. ok well game is up and running.. and i think i have all the vista updates done.. but im still randomly getting random blue screen o death physical mem dumps... (like one when opening my mail after playing the game) oh well ill figure it out tomarrow.. going to get some time in game. |
