A Question . . .
Hi, I'm very interested in joining the vipers, but i had a quick question about your charter. It says that you don't participate in Nation War as a guild- does that mean that Vipers are banned from participating in Nation wars, or does it just mean you don't enter it as a guild? I'd like this clarified as Nation War is one of the best aspects of VO and I'd hate to miss out on it. |

Vipers do participate in Nation Wars. They represent their nations, but not the Vipers guild. BTW good job at killing me (I participated as non-VPR character though) at last Nation War ;) |

The Vipers do not participate in "nationalistic" activities as a guild (ie, CTC, Nation Wars, Border Patrol/Skirmish) but individual members may participate in events on the understanding that they are not representing the guild, but only themselves. _________________ My name is "No! That was confusing for me when I first joined as well. Maybe we can look into making that a bit more clear in the charter. |

Sorry, that is confusing. Our charter was written before the player run Nation Wars were being held. Participating in Nation Wars, CtC and BP are ok so long as the member acts on their own accord. There is no guild backup or recourse held on anyone who attacks a member while that member is participating in these events. Also, the Vipers will never participate in any in-game events as a guild. Such as: we will never decide as a guild to get involve in CtC for the interest of offsetting the results. Our goals are pretty straight forward. We have always stuck to defending traders and fighting pirates. Everything else that we do as a guild is a perk, as we tend to stick together even when no pirates are around. It would be even better to ban Vipers from participating in CtC/BP. Personally I have 2 alts fot that :laugh: |
