Background

Phaserlight joined during the alpha 3.2 era, and has remained an enthusiastically casual player dedicated to helping out newbies, protecting traders, fighting pirates, and designing missions. Within a week of joining the game Phaserlight was pirated by the notorious Icarus, who blew apart his Atlas with a tri-flare Valk. In order to survive Phaserlight studied the ancient technique of turbo tapping, and explored the five hidden sectors reachable by mortal players. Within a great ice asteroid he trained by shunning his targeting computer and evading the Avalon torpedoes lobbed at him by wayward pilgrims. Weaponry advanced to the point that explosions rocked ships and mass affected the dynamics of motion.

Upon returning Phaserlight found that the devs of Vendetta had reforged the known universe in a cataclysmic event. The familiar 18 sectors were no more. Phaserlight soon fell in with a newly formed group of knights known as Vipers, not only for self-protection but as a shield to those in need. He learned from master pilots such as Millenium Blackhawk, Nerde Verde and others, becoming versed in group tactics. Since that time Phaserlight has been enhancing and improving his abilities in combat while remaining true to a few ancient strategies.

Phaserlight joined the Vipers soon after the creation of the official guild system in alpha. In March of 2011, Phaserlight was promoted to guild Lieutenant by Cdr. M. Duncan, joining the honorable Lt. Strat. In April of 2012, Phaserlight was granted guide status by the devs, and resigned from the Viper guild. A year later, in March of 2013, Phaserlight rejoined the guild as a regular member.
